SINGING and VOICE

Singing provides children with a wonderful, expressive form of musical communication. At Cal Elite, we love singing for all the joy it brings to kids. We also love singing for the many developmental benefits it provides to our students.  Singing provides important cognitive challenges as students are challenged with pattern recognition, auditory discernment, lyric and melody memorization and much more. Singing promotes language development through repetitive practice of words and lyrics and improves pronunciation and fluency. Singing also helps children with emotional recognition, communication and regulation. And singing in our group class environment provides an amazing social experience for our students!  Our students get to practice being brave confident and at the same time, being supportive of their classmates. Together they enjoy the benefits of a collaborative classroom.

While our main goal is to introduce our students to the joys of singing and music, we are excited to incorporate and advocate for the many important developmental benefits of singing!
